Accountancy is one of the most flexible qualifications anyone can have. Accountants are needed in every industry, from corner shops to hypermarkets, from Restaurants to Banks, from Wall Street to Main Street.

There are several different accountancy qualifications available from various professional accounting bodies. the main ones are as follows:
ACCA  -  the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants   International accountancy body for the chartered accountants providing advice and accountancy courses to students as well as accountancy regulations and tax accountant advice to small businesses.

Association of Accounting Technicians   Professional membership organisation providing recognised training and continuing professional development for accounting technicians.
CIMA   -   Chartered Institute of Management Accountants   Represents Accountants in business such as financial managers and accountants who work in industry, commerce, not-for-profit and public sector organisations.
CIPFA   -   Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy   the Accountancy body for the public services providing education and training in accountancy and financial management.
